Event Day

Our team is always onsite early to get your build set up and to help with any last minute issues that might arise. And of course, they are there at the end to take it all down & away again. They can even stay onsite throughout if you require it.

Current Job Opportunities

Project Manager

Reports To: Director
Working Hours: 40 hour week over 5 days (Mon – Fri)
Salary: c.£45K+ according to experience 


The Role

Responsible for the leadership, overseeing construction and control of a wide range of projects from small business seminars to major corporate events within a creative and set construction environment.  


Duties to Include

  • Managing the projects from initial brief through to delivery 
  • Client liaison, meeting & management 
  • Produce drawings and costings based on the client’s brief 
  • Taking enquiries through to a quote (by liaising with the client to ensure the brief is fully understood, and having quantified and costed the bill of materials)  
  • Preparing build drawings by interpreting the brief, model and designer’s drawings, having discussed the brief with the workshop staff. 
  • Produce job sheets and working drawings for workshop construction 
  • Order materials, transport and graphic requirements 
  • Schedule build times and onsite labour requirements  
  • Monitor progress of build through the workshop and discuss & implement changes as they arise to ensure on-time delivery and installation 
  • Have the ability to work with external partners & specialists involved in any event; Sound, AV, lighting etc 
  • Managing the build process ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to, and keeping client advised of any potential cost changes that may occur 
  • The above is a detailed process and one that requires close attention to detail.


The Candidate

Ideal applicants would have experience of project managing design and builds, with a strong understanding of construction methods, production processes & materials. It would suit someone who has held a similar role before or who is currently a workshop foreman looking to progress into a more client facing role. Ideally fluent in CAD. 


Desired Skills:

  • Client facing experience 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time 
  • A keen eye for detail & ability to process and recall ever-changing factors 
  • Practical experience in construction methods 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Illustrator and MS Office 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Experience in people management with strong customer & interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work as a team   

Scenic Carpenter

Reports To: Workshop Manager
Working Hours: 40 hour week (some evening/weekend working required)
Salary: c.£20-35K+ according to experience 


The Role

This position would suit a carpetner/set builder with good working knowledge of materials, tools & all woodworking skills. There are opportunities to both travel & get training in this role. 


Duties to Include:

  • Construct & erect scenery & sets as instructed
  • Take information from job lists and CAD/Illustrator drawings
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manger on all aspects of the job
  • Ensure H&S regulations are maintained and that the working environments are safe both in the workshop & on client site
  • Drive own vehicle, company vehicle or hire vehicle as required in the UK & overseas
  • Undertake internal/external training in the developments of your skills & duties

The Candidate

Ideal applicants would have experience of the events industry, but this is not essential. A team player, able to take instructions with a willingness to work outside normal hours & abroad if required for a specific job. 


Desired Skills:

  • Practical experience in construction methods 
  • Able to interpret plans & drawings from AutoCAD / Illustrator
  • Ability to take instruction & guidance
  • Work as part of a team, but also independently.   
  • Good organisational skills & a keen eye for detail.
